biography

As a professional photographer for over ten years, Michael I. Goldsholl captures the essence of his client's magical lives on their wedding day. He enjoys a national reputation throughout the United States from New York, Baltimore, Florida, New Jersey, Atlanta, Dallas, and San Jose.

"My approach to an event is journalistic."

His chronological method of recording a wedding dovetails his album designs, and a beautiful story is told...

"I like to take transitional moments, such as the bride arriving to the venue, so that I have the image which sets the stage of her album. I approach a wedding in a way that allows me to record the individual parts of the day and unify them in a chronological design".

When displayed, Michael Goldsholl's hand finished leather albums convey the spirit of the event and illustrates an artistic interpretation. His clients treasure the moments that are uniquely interpreted by these hand printed photographs.

"The album conveys my wonderful clients stories. "

"There should be a balance of both candid and more postured situations at a wedding. I love the challenge of capturing an unexpected moment which might not be noticeable until of course, the photographs meet my anxious client's eyes."

His work has a special quality that which reflects his clients in a most unique and complementary way.

"Anyone can photograph a fashion model, but to interpret the bride's beauty and reflect that special part of her and bring that to light, is the highest reward that I can receive. My challenge is to always make the bride look more beautiful than sometimes she sees herself."

The black and white photos are impeccably procured. Michael prints them all by hand. The beautiful contrast of these prints refers us to a time that has past, when an artisan's black and white prints, also done by hand, were the standard, not the exception. Michael Goldsholl has received a degree from the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida, where he studied photography, painting and illustration. In addition, he has a degree in Interior Architecture. Recently his work was chosen by the Nationally published "Wedding Pages Magazine" to illustrate the "2000 Wedding Planner" exclusively with his photographs. In addition he was chosen to appear on a John Stossel's ABC News Television special "LOVE LUST AND MARRIAGE".
